| Abstract: | The isobutyrophenone is synthesized from isobutyryl chloride and benzene with yield of 98.8% and purity of 99.9% under the optimal conditions. The optimum reaction molar ratio of isobutyryl chloride and benzene,reaction time and temperature are determined. The products are characterized by IR,b.p. and refractivity. |
