中西人文主义异同初探——兼谈传统文化改造的必要性

中国的人文精神和西方的人文精神都立足于“以人为本” ,但其内涵和外延均有较大的差异。西方文化带有浓厚的宗教色彩 ,中国文化在其早期就显示出非宗教性的品格特征———浓厚的人文精神。所以 ,由中西文化所形成的中西人格取向、道德价值观迥然不同。历史赋予我们当代人的使命是通过改造传统文化来发展现代化 ,而不是用现代化来嫁接传统文化 ,这是我们搞社会主义现代化的立足点和出发点

The Preliminary Considerations on the Simitarities and Differences of the Chinese and Western Humanism

Both Chinese humanist spirit and Western humanist spirit are based on putting the human first,however there are some differences in its connotation and extension,the Western culture has a strong religious colour,on the contrary,the Chinese culture has a strong humanist spirit.So,there are diametrically opposed in views of individual presonality and moral value formed by the Chinese and Western cultures.History has entrusted to us the task of remoulding traditional culture to develop modernization,not making use of modernization to shift the traditional culture,the above mentioned are our starting point and foothold of constructing socialist modernization.
