The use of Looking After Children in child protection

The vast majority of children who enter the child protection process are supported at home. While the Looking After Children approach can be used as a basis for assessing child care outcomes everywhere, we need to clarify what aspects of the materials are useful in assessing outcomes for children not looked after or whose separations are short.
