In the 20th century , which featured by value restructuring, the tragic literary works could display the intense modernity, manifest the writers＇ philosophical thinkings to the human society, the value towards life and the survival pursuit. Hemingway＇s work first demonstrated the spirit of the tough guy, but deep inside, we can appreciate a strong sense of tragedy. Based on this, this article has discussed the tragedy consciousness in Hemingway＇s works from the following three aspects： the serious death haze, the lonely individual fighter and surmounting despair resistance.
