英语应用能力测试中阅读理解能力的调查研究与培养

摘    要:通过问卷调查和英语B级应用能力考试成绩,对广西右江民族师专235名非英语专业学生进行了英语B级应用能力考试中阅读理解能力的调查与培养情况进行了实证性研究。研究发现:高职高专学生在英语B级应用能力测试中阅读理解能力普遍较低,主要原因是阅读面窄、学习和解题的方法不当。在今后的大学外语教学中教师要注意“授人以渔”,教会学生学习策略,提高学生的阅读能力。

Survey Research and Development of Reading Ability in Practical English Ability Tests

Abstract:On the basis of questionnaire and the students' marks of Practical English Ability Tests(Band B),especially 235 non-major English learners' performance in the reading comprehension part,some empirical researches have been done and some conclusion has been reached.The findings are as follows: the students of professional and vocational colleges get low marks in the Reading Comprehension part,which means that they are poor in understanding the given materials.The writers suggest that the main reasons are that the students' scope of world knowledge is too narrow and ways of learning and solving problems need to be improved,and the teachers should instruct the students some learning strategies,helping them to develop their reading skills.
