互文性理论视域下的中国文化意象翻译

由于源语和译语文化的巨大差异,文化意象翻译中的文化缺失似乎在所难免。然而,源于后结构主义的互文性理论给文化意象的翻译带来了新的启示。为保留源语文化意象的韵味,译者应正确理解源文本与他文本间的互文指涉并评价它在译语文化中的意义,继而采用协调式异化,适当应用一些补偿手段,以帮助译文读者积累源语互文知识,培养源语文化互文能力。

On Translating Chinese Cultural Images From an Intertextual Perspective

The cultural differences between source and target languages often result in cultural loss in translating cultural images.The theory of Intertextuality,which originates from post-structuralism,has shed light on cultural images translation.Translators should comprehend the intertextual reference of a source text and other texts and evaluate it in the target culture.For the sake of the flavor of cultural images,mediated foreignization should be the principal method and some compensation means are necessary,which helps target readers obtain more knowledge of the source intertextuality and thus cultivates their intertextual competence of the source culture.
