由《汉书·赵尹韩张二王传》简析班固的史学思想

《汉书·赵尹韩张二王传》在全书中一枝独秀,是纯一色的六位官职不过郡守、曾在三辅就任最高行政长官的合传。这是班固有意安排的,反映了他以刑法治国治民的史学思想,也恰好印证了他在《刑法志》中所说的“吏不专余,法无二门,轻重当罪,民命得全”的思想。

The Biography of men respectively named Zhao,Yin,Han,Zhang and two Wangs in The History of Han Dynasty is particularly remarkable in that it is a combined biography of six officials,all of whom were no more than a head of a county,and all of whom have worked as the highest administrative official in the area of Sanfu.The intentional arrangement of this biography by Ban Gu reflects his historical thought of administering a country and people by law,which echoes what he wrote in Records of Law:official should conduct his duty according to law;everyone is equal before law;violation of law,serious or trivial as it might be,must be punished;and only by these means can people be protected.
