两界三方管理下的上海舞厅业——以1927至1943年为主要时段的考察

近代上海,公共租界、法租界、华界,所谓"两界三方"共存的局面维持了近100年。其间,它们彼此影响,或沟通、或协调、或龃龉、或掣肘,对上海市政建设、城市生活乃至整个中国和远东的近代化发展都产生过至深且巨的影响。交际舞是一种来自西方的社交自娱活动,交际舞厅业则是以提供舞女伴舞为基本经营之道的大众休闲商业。在中西文化冲突、生活习俗歧异的背景下,在追求高雅艺术与迷恋肉欲满足的两相之间,在社会普遍破败和娱乐产业畸形发展的矛盾景象之中,舞厅都以多重、多面、多样的姿态,引发整个社会的困惑和感叹,由此成为两界三方市政管理中的一大热点和难点。

Dance Halls Managed by Three Shanghai City Governments from 1927 to 1943

In modern Shanghai, the situation had been lasting about 100 years, which one city had three City Governments, i.e., International Settlement, French Concession and China Town. During this period, three City Govern-ments always contacted, coordinated, contradicted, and restricted one another, which impacted deeply and tremendously the construction and life in Shanghai, and Modernization in China and Far Eastern. It showed its complexity and diver-sity because of complicated sectors in cultural, social, economic aspects, so as to make the whole society in dilemma, and become one difficult problem and hot spot in the management of the city.
