| 摘 要： | 玛丽·卡森的“魔鬼”形象是男权社会文化对她的偏见。事实上，她是女权主义的极端代表，追求事业，力图改变命运，同时渴望爱情，但又拒绝虚伪，甚至反抗虚伪。这在当时的男权社会无疑是具有积极进步意义的，在妇女解放运动中起到了榜样作用。

| Abstract: | The ‘devil＇ image of Mary Carson mirrors the prejudice of the masculine society. In fact, she is an extremist of feminism. She pursues success in career and works hard to improve her livelihood. Meanwhile she longs for love but rejects and even resists hypocrisy. This undoubtedly reflects progress in the masculine society and serves as a model for the emancipation of women. |
