Basic Forms and Cultural Connotations of Folk Oral Narration in Africa

Folk oral narration,a kind of pre-creation in literature,is an early stage in the development of literature.African literature has an oral tradition with a long history,either in northern Africa or in the regions of the Black Africa South of the Sahara Desert.Located in north Africa,the ancient Egypt was the heyday of texts for folk oral narration,myths and legends,folk-stories,metrical mortal ballads and religious eulogies.There is no national writing in history in the Black regions of Africa,for African literature only existed in the form of folk oral narration,which is rich in culture and history with profound and far-reaching artistic achievements.Therefore,African folk oral narration has irreplaceable social value as well as aesthetic tension.
