| 摘 要： | 原型范畴理论是20世纪70年代中期美国心理学家Eleanor Rosch提出来的一种新的概念构建模式,它对语言各个层面的研究都产生了深远的影响。本文以英语中一词多义现象为切入点,意在通过原型理论对我们研究多义词的形成和教学方法所给予的启示来揭示原型理论在人类认知过程中所发挥的重要作用,从而推动原型理论与英语教学实践的有机结合。

| Abstract: | Prototype theory,a new kind of conceptualization patterns,was proposed by Eleanor Rosch,an American psychologist in the middle of 1970s.This theory has exerted great influence on the study of languages in every aspect.From the perspective of polysemy in English and the influence of prototype theory on the formation and its teaching method,this paper attempts to exhibit that prototype theory plays an effective role in the cognitive activity of human beings,thus promoting the integration of this theory with the practice of English teaching method. |
