关于20世纪俄国现代化问题的若干思考

20世纪世界历史发展的基本趋势是实现现代化———由传统的落后的农业社会向现代的工业社会转变。20世纪俄国历史的一个根本性问题就是革命与现代化之间的相互作用问题。苏联虽未能建成发达的社会主义,但现代化进程使国家发生了根本改观,苏联由落后的农业国变成了发达的工业强国,人民的生活水平明显提高,所有这一切对战胜德国法西斯起到了至关重要的作用,确保了在冷战期间与美国的核军备平衡。

Reflections on the Problems Concerning Russia's Modernization in 20th Century

The basic trend of world development in 20th century was to realize modernization,that meant the transition from traditional backward agricultural society to the modern industrial society.The key issue in Russia's history in 20th century was the interaction of revolution and modernization.Although the USSR did not complete the building of the advanced socialism,the process of modernization had changed the country completely.The USSR had transformed from a backward agricultural country into an advanced industrial country,and people's living standard had improved remarkably,the all of which had played an very important role in the war to overthrow German Fascism,and ensured the balance with the U.S.in nuclear armament during the cold war years.
