| 摘 要： | 以往大多数研究者认为：劳伦斯在《查泰莱夫人的情人》中将查泰莱先生和他的女管家波尔顿太太描述成冷酷、虚伪与无知、虚荣的代表。本文则认为：查泰莱身上同样也体现了处于上升时期的资产阶级的勤奋、实际、善于钻研等优良品质;而波尔顿太太的聪明能干、经验丰富与善良体贴等特征要远远多于她的性格缺陷。

| Abstract: | In D.H.Lawrence's novel,"Lady Chatterley's Lover",Mr.Chatterley and the housekeeper Mrs.Bolton were critically described as being cold,hypocritical and ignorant.An objective criticism of the two figures at present time revealed that Mr.Chatterley could also embody the early rising bourgeois who were practical and industrious,while Mrs.Bolton was more of a housekeeper with experience,capability and consideration than what the writer had criticized. |
