| Abstract: | English and Chinese belong to different linguistic systems and have discrepancies in their linguistic structures,which exhibit great influence on E-C translation.This paper is an attempt to study the necessary shifts and adjustments in thematic structures involved in E-C translation,based on the theme-rheme theory of text linguistics. |
