建立在吸纳女权主义和世界主义公民权理论合理成分基础上的环境公民权或生态公民权概念,是对公民权基本内涵与性质理解的全面拓展。它旨在为发挥公众在创建生态可持续社会过程中的作用,确立一个理论与实践基点,因而是一种来自公民权理论框架外部的挑战。

Political ecology and the citizenship theory

Based on a general framework of citizenship theory composed of the four ingredients: the kinds of rights and responsibilities that citizenship might entail, who or what are to be members, what counts as political or citizen activity, and the nature of the space within which citizenship relations take place, this article will analyze the question and challenge to the traditional citizenship theory raised by political ecology or environmentalism. In the author's opinion, what underlies the environmental or ecological citizenship is a comprehensively new understanding of the connotation and nature of citizenship. Trying to offer a theoretical and practical basis so that the public can play a more active role in creating a sustainable society, this ecological challenge to the citizenship theory is one from the outside rather than the inside of its framework.
