| Abstract: | As a branch of ESP(English for Special Purposes), tendering and bidding document of international engineering pr- oject has its own linguistic features, apart from sharing some features with advertising and contract English. Its form is complete, its diction is rigorous. And vague expressions, parallel synonyms and format patterns are frequently used. To grasp these features is vital for the understanding of the connotation of the document. |
