法国文艺复兴时期的历史方法研究

The Study of the Method of history in the French Renaissance

In the first half of 16th century, the "art of history" referred to treatises on the writing of history. Precedents for such works may be found both in antiquity, and in the middle ages. In the later half 16th century French scholars focused on the "method of history" and emphasized the art of reading. In the investigation of the method of comprehending history, French scholars developed the method of the historical criticism and combined law with history, and thus transformed finally the historical method of law into the method of history. They made great contributions to the modern historical scholarship.
