我们党要始终代表中国先进生产力的发展要求,必须遵循和符合生产力发展的客观规律,这是最高层次的要求;必须坚持和不断完善我国的社会主义社会制度,这是深层次的要求;必须坚持和不断完善我国社会主义的经济、政治管理体制,这是重要条件和必然要求;必须重视人和科学技术这两个主导因素,要把全面提高人的素质作为党应履行的第一要务,要把发展先进的科学技术、推动科技进步和创新作为党应履行的重要职责.

The Requirements in Developing Chinese Advanced Productivity

To representate the demands of national advanced productivity all along, our Party must observe the objective law for the development of productivity, which is superlative systematic requirement; it must insist on and continually improve our socialistic social system, which is in-depth requirement; it must stick to and perfect our economical and political administrative system, which is important and necessary requirement. Furthermore, our Party ought to pay more attention to man and scientific technique, the two chief leading elements, and take the improvement of man's quality as the first duty to be fulfilled, and the development of advanced scientific technique, as well as technolgical innovation, as the essential task.
