| Abstract: | Mencius and Socrates have their differences and their commonalities on the idea of virtue and humanity. Mencius advocates that human nature is good, and his ＂good human nature theory＂ meets Socrates＇ ＂ theory of human nature＂. By going deep into these differences can we deepen the understanding of the mutual complement and assistance between Chinese and Western philosophy. |
