| 摘 要： | 文章主要从语义角度论英语习语的翻译。首先，以蒙太古理论的核心“模型”为基础，从形式结构来看英语习语的汉译；其次，按照Gibbs对习语的分类，结合实例，对英语习语类别进行了分析，以期正确把握习语语义。通过以上两方面理论与实例分析的结合，旨在使人们更好地理解、翻译和运用英语习语。

| Abstract: | This paper, mainly from semantic angle, discusses the translating of English idioms into Chinese. First, based upon the ＂model＂ theory, the core of Montague＇s theory, the paper expounds the Chinese translation of English idioms; Then according to Gibbs＇ taxonomy of idioms, the paper, through analyses of some examples, analyses English idioms＂ taxonomy in order for people to see the semantic meaning of English idioms. Through the combination of theories and examples, the paper aims to make people understand, translate and use English idioms in a better way. |
