二十世纪二三十年代青岛的文化引进与滨海文化风格的形成

青岛的城市文化具有滨海文化开放性和多元性的特点，这一特点固然缘于1898年青岛开埠后西方殖民文化的传入，但是其定型则要归因于1922年中国收回青岛主权之后。在二十世纪二十年代后半期到三十年代中后期，一方面由于开埠以来西方文化的影响，一方面中国人已经开始在青岛的城市生活中处于主导地位，从而使青岛在公众娱乐、文学美术、教育与科技以及建筑文化等方面，都出现了一个引进西方文化的高潮。与前一时期不同的是，这些外来文化元素已走入了青岛居民的生活之中，并与本土文化相融合，形成了青岛滨海文化的特点。
