试论词汇法教学

摘    要:长期以来,受结构主义和生成语法学派的影响,语言学习被认为是对语言规则的掌握和单词的积累,而词语在语言中的重要作用却被严重忽视.针对这一现象,词汇学派提出了词汇短语(或"预制板块")的概念,认为词汇短语,而非生成学派所提出的句法,才是语言使用者内化知识的基础,继而认为外语学习中应注重对词汇短语的掌握,以达到熟练使用目标语言的目的.

Abstract:It has long been assumed by the structuralists and TG grammarians that syntactic rules are the central factor in language learning, with the importance of lexis being undervalued. The lexical approach advocates hold that an important part of language acquisition is the ability to comprehend and produce lexical phrases as unanalyzed wholes, or"prefabricated chunks, and that these chunks become the raw data by which learners perceive patterns of language traditionally thought of as grammar. The acquisition of these chunks also explains the difference between the native speaker and the second language learner in language fluency.
