华兹华斯的人地观主要体现在他对自然环境与人类活动相互影响的认识上。他从自然予人快乐和人性指引以及人予自然“生命的敬畏”两个方面,即自然环境对人的情感、性格、道德、生活和劳作等方面的影响,以及人对自然环境的敬畏和顺应,表达了其人与自然和谐共生的人地观。他的人地观既受到孟德斯鸠等人提出的“地理环境决定论”的影响,也为20世纪的“人地或然论”和“人地和谐论”奠定了基础。其形成既离不开那时的社会环境和希伯来文化中的生态保护思想,也离不开诗人对自然环境独到的认识和把握。

Wordsworth's View on the Relationship Between Society and Environment and Its Origin

Wordsworth''s view on the relationship between society and environment is based on his understanding of the mutual influence and relations between natural environment and human activities. In light of nature endowing man with happiness and guidance to human nature and man showing his reverence for life to nature, that is, the impact of natural environment on man''s feelings, character, morality, life, work and so on, and man''s reverence for and conforming to natural environment, Wordsworth expresses his view on the relationship between society and environment, namely, a harmonious co-existence between man and nature. His view is influenced by Montesquieu''s Environmental Determinism and lays a foundation for Possibilism and Harmony Theory in the 20^th century. It originates from then social environment, the idea of ecological protection in Hebrew culture and the poet''s unique understanding of natural environment.
