Abstract: | Social workers frequently complain that research is unrelated to issues of daily clinical practice, especially that single-case research which they see as more germane to behavior therapy. Considering the nature of non-behavioral clinical practice, this article discusses strategies for systematic evaluation.Portions of this article were presented at the NASW Conference on Clinical Social Work, November 21, 1982, Washington, D. C. The author would like to thank Joel Fischer, Rona L. Levy, and Susan P. Robbins for their hélpful comments on an earlier draft of the article. |
