客家人在台湾政坛的“副首”角色——兼谈李登辉的族属问题

客家在台湾是人数仅少于闽南人的第二大族群,其政治热情及其表现一直令人瞩目。耐人寻味的是,历史上台湾地区不仅最高领导人无客家人担任,连最具权力或重要机关的最高长官也几乎一直由闽南人和外省人包揽,客家人只担任了其中一些副职。这种现象无论从客家在台湾的人口比例及其政治热情来衡量,还是与中外政坛相关事相相观照,似乎都不可思议,因而很值得研究和探讨。

The Role of Hakka People on Taiwan Political Arena

Ranking as the second largest ethnic group next to Southern Fujianese in Taiwan,the Hakkas have been noted for their enthusiasm and performance on the political arena.However,in the history of Taiwan,the Hakkas have only filled deputy-positions while the highest political roles are inevitably held by either Southern Fujianese or people from other provinces.In view of the population size of the Hakkas and their political involvement,or other factors,this seems to be rather unusual and is worthy of investigation.
