The Employment of American Women in the Great Depression

The Great Depressiou saw the steady increase in the employment of American women, and a significant increase in married women＇ s employment. Employed women, who had experienced much hardship, contributed a great deal to their families＇ living and social development. Yet, the special situations and such factors as sexual discrimination, unemployment and sexual isolation in the Great Depression made negative impacts on American women＇s employment and development.
