| 摘 要： | 公示语翻译是应用语言学和翻译学研究的重要内容，可从不同的理论视角解析这一实践活动。纽马克的语言功能和文本类型理论阐述了公示语具有的五种语言功能，有助于分析、纠正诸多公示语的误译问题。公示语翻译的统一规范原则，简洁易懂原则和零翻译原则对于英汉公示语的翻译具有重要的实践意义。

| Abstract: | Public signs translation is one of the important fields aimed by applied linguistics and translatology, which can be analyzed fi＇om various theoretical perspectives. Newmark＇s language function and text type theory elaborates public signs are characterized by five functions, which are effective in analyzing and correcting the mistakes or incorrectness in their translated versions. The three rules of uniformity and conformity, rules of conciseness and zero translation are important guidelines for Chinese to English translation of public signs. |
