| Abstract: | Based on a study of Twelve Tables written in the Ancient Rome and Canon of Laws completed in the ancient China, the author of this paper compares the contents and the systems of law described in the two great works, and analyses the different ideas (embodied in laws) and the relevent cultural background between China and the western countries. |
