On Zhu De's Thought Concerning Social and Economic Development of Shaanxi After the Founding of New China

After the founding of New China,while occupying an important position in the Chinese central leadership,Zhu De still showed great concern for the people of Shaanxi and put forward many important ideas for the economic and social development of the province.These ideas include: to develop diversified undertakings of agriculture according to local conditions so as to lay solid foundation for economic and social development;to take handicraft industry as a long-term solution for the economic and social development;to expand foreign trade so as to open a new way for economic and social development;to carry out technological innovation as a powerful driving force for economic and social development;and to handle correctly the relationship between military industry civil industry as a major characteristic for economic and social development.
