21世纪,国际竞争越来越表现为以科技和人才为核心的综合国力的竞争,教育将发挥以往任何时代从未有过的基础作用,高等学校处在竞争的中心,其地位更加重要,作用更加突出.在社会主义市场经济条件下,由于经济形式、价值观念多元化,人们的思想观念、行为方式趋于多元化,高校的思想政治工作,从内容、方法、手段、途径诸方面都需要创新.思想政治工作要做到创新,就要正确处理主体与客体、调查研究与开拓创新、发扬优良传统与开拓创新、借鉴与创新的关系.
