摘    要:语用能力是沟通能力的一部分。在英语学习中,语用知识有着和语法知识同样的地位和重要性。没有对语用知识的理解和掌握,即便是拥有一定的语言基础,也很难做到使用英语准确沟通。因此,利用大学英语课堂教学,通过多种渠道培养学生的语用意识,举办多种活动让学生学习英语语用知识,提高学生的英语语用能力,具有重要意义。

Abstract:Pragmatic ability in a foreign language is part of nonnative speakers'(NNS) communicative competence.It is not subordinated to knowledge of grammar and text organization but coordinated to formal linguistic and textual knowledge in English learning.Without pragmatic ability,it is hard to communicate properly with others in English even if one has certain linguistic knowledge.This essay aims to discuss activities aiming at raising students' pragmatic awareness and activities offering opportunities for communicative practice in English classroom.The purpose of the proposed learning activities is to help students become more effective and successful communicators in English,and then English teaching will expand its role from that of language instruction to that of language education.
