汉英成语的文化差异与表述

本文在几个主要的文化层面上选取部分汉英成语做了比较,找出二者在形式、语义、用法等方面的差别,发现成语蕴含的鲜明的民族特点,认识其中的文化异同。在此基础上,按照它的意义和形式分成三大类,以便表述的准确。进而使不同文化背景的人们交际得体,思想感情获得统一,共享灿烂多姿的人类文化。

The Cultural Differences and Their Expressions in the Chinese and English Idioms

This paper provides a comparison between some Chinese and English idioms selected in somemajor fields, in order to demonstrate the differences in their forms, semantics and usages, find out the distinctive national characteristics, and understand the cultural similarities and differences. For this reason , idioms are divided into three kinds according to their meanings and forms for accurate expression. Consequently, people from different cultural backgrounds can communicate appropriately, achieve the unity in thoughts and feelings, and enjoy the glorious and colorful human cultures.
