| Abstract: | The establishment of Yili military stationary(Specially called “General office”)played an important role in safeguarding the frontier,resisting the Tsarist invasion,stablizing the social order,strengthening national solidarity and protecting China's unification. It occupies a very important position in the history of Xinjiang.The present paper deals with the historical role and the development and fall of Yili“General office”. |
