科布过程教育思想与实践

在怀特海过程哲学的视域中,教育就是充满生命与活力的、不断生成的过程.科布认为,过程教育是向现实挑战的教育.要转换思维方式,用内在联系的、发展的、生成的、动态的观点看待教育.他倡导浪漫教育、创造教育、整合教育、博雅教育和多元教育共生.较突出的是整合理念、学生中心理念和现代大学改革新理念.过程教育理念正在一些学校的教育实践中探索.过程教育理念对中国教育改革也有启发意义.

The Ideas and Practice of Cobb's Process Education

In A.N.Whitehead's process philosophy,education means process of life and vigor,and constant process of change.J.B.Cobb,Jr.points out that process education challenges the realities and that we should change our thinking mode,treating education from a internally related,developing,becoming,and dynamic perspective.He advocates romantic education,innovative education,integrated education,liberal arts education,and diverse education.More prominent are his theories of integrated ideas,student-oriented education,and new theories on the reform of higher education.His process education theory is being explored and practiced in some universities and may also shed light on China's educational reform.
