在市场经济大潮中，“草根”浙商的崛起，对塑造新型民族性格、改变不合时宜的传统观念具有典型的积极意义：一、有助于改变传统“民本”思想中普通民众的依赖心理、培养民众积极主动参与社会事务的自主人格；二、有助于打破传统“士农工商”金字塔式的单一价值排序和轻视技艺的传统观念，在社会多元价值观的发展空间中形成踏实、务实的民风；三、有助于扭转传统“义利观”中重义不重利而产生的“贫穷光荣”的心理以及唯利是图制假造假的不义行为，打造符合市场经济要求的伦理观。

The rise of Zhejiang Merchants from grass root is significant in remolding national character and changing the traditional out-dated concepts.Firstly,it is helpful to change the reliant mind in the people-oriented idea and cultivate common people to actively participate in social affairs;secondly,it is helpful to break the traditional value concept ranking in “officer,farmer,worker,and merchant” and the concept to belittling crafts,and thus help to form practical and pragmatic attitude in a society of multiple value concept;thirdly,it is helpful to change the traditional outlook of righteousness and benefit,overcome dishonesty,and develop an ethic concept which meets the demand of market economy.
