The Editorial Consciousness and the Scholarly Nature of University Academic Journals

Academic journals published by colleges and universities are special carriers for scholarship, and the editorial consciousness is the soul of the scholarly activities associated with them. The foundation stones for such journals are, first, the modern consciousness; second, an innovation-oriented consciousness; and, third, the top-quality consciousness. The establishment of these three kinds of consciousness not only allows the editor to work with great facility in planning, in soliciting contributions from authors, and in editing, but helps to provide a pivot for the establishment of new scholarly views, thus maintaining the special character and scholarly nature of university academic journals.
