摘    要:文章对于古希腊以来的文学教育的作用和效应,以及后来西方文学教育的经验进行了梳理、分析,以期对我国目前大学英语专业课程改革中"文学教育"的衰颓有所反思,并对我国各大学目前进行的通识课程改革提供一些启示。

Abstract:This paper is an analysis of the significance and outcome of literature education since ancient Greece as well as a review of the experience of Western countries therein,in expectation of making reflections on the general neglect of liberal education hitherto in the curriculum reform of English programs in China,and drawing implications to the present reform of liberal-education curricula at colleges and universities across China.
