明代广州的"达官兵"

明朝曾有大量北方和西北少数民族内附,其中包括相当数量的穆斯林民族.明朝以优惠条件接纳内附者,将他们安置到全国各地,并将其中一部分编为世袭军户,称"达官兵".景泰、成化间,曾将一部分"达官兵"迁入广州,久之,这些移民成了世居广州的居民,成为广州回族的重要来源之一.

"Daguan Soldier" in the Ming Dynasty

During the Ming Dynasty, there were a great number of minority people from Northern and West-northern China working for the empire, among which Muslims accounted for a considerable portion. The Ming government offered favorable terms for these incomers, and nestled them shattered around the every corner of the empire, by granting them with hereditary military positions, which was called "Daguan soldier". During the Jingtai, and Chenghua periods of reigns, some of these minority soldier settled in Guangzhou, and from then finally became the permanent settlers in Guangzhou, and constituted one of the main source of Muslim community there.
