大学英语口语纠错认识的调查与分析

摘    要:文章运用定量和定性分析方法,通过录音、问卷和访谈方式,调查分析了安徽建筑工业学院78名来自大学本科快班和普通班学生及8名大学英语教师对大学英语口语教学中错误纠正的认识.结果表明:学生普遍希望老师纠错;快班同学对自己口语表达的期望值较高;普通班同学希望错误得到纠正,同时又担心积极性受挫;教师对如何纠错以及纠正何种错误的认识与学生存在分歧;学生纠错认识与动机有较低相关性,与课堂焦虑、歧义容忍度和性格呈最低相关.

Abstract:This paper reports both the students and the teachers' perceptions of error correction in their oral English class by using both qualitative and qualitative methods.Such instruments as 78 non-English majors and 8 college English teachers have been investigated using video tapes,questionnaires and an interview.The results indicate that students in general need error correction from their teacher;high achievers have a higher expectation of their oral competence;low achievers need corrective feedbacks but at the same time they fear that the teacher's comments might hurt them;differences exist in the perceptions of oral error correction between the teachers and the students;there is alow degree of correlation between students' perception of error correction and their motivation,and a negligible correlation between their perception and their class anxiety,their ambiguity tolerance or their personality.The implications for oral English teaching are also discussed in this paper.
