作为《西游记》中的一号主角,孙悟空身上集中了人类的种种美德,意志坚强、不畏强权、嫉恶如仇、见义勇为、幽默风趣等等,是人类理想形象的化身。但是,从《西游记》幽默戏谑的风格下可以看到一种无奈的悲情色彩。这恰恰是作者透过神奇怪诞的神魔世界所要表达的社会现实悲剧。作为人类追寻自由理想的化身却不得不面对破灭的理想;作为正义勇敢的化身却成为逆向淘汰权力体系的牺牲者;作为忠诚的卫道者却不得不面对混沌失序的神魔世界。从这三个方面分析孙悟空的角色扮演,从中可以感受《西游记》中浓郁的悲剧色彩。

Exploration into the Tragic Color of Journey to the West from the Role of the Monkey

As the leading character in Journey to the West, Sun Wukong, the Monkey, epitomizes various human vir- tues. He is strong-minded, humorous, witty and he fears no power and hates evils. HoWever, beyond the humorous style in Journey to the West, we find tragedy in it. The weird and miraculous world of genies and gods in Journey to the West reflects the tragedy in real life. This paper reveals the strong sense of tragedy in the Journey to the West by analyzing the role of the Monkey in the following three aspects ： as an embodiment of human＇ s pursuit of freedom, the Monkey has to face the disillusionment; as an symbol for justice and braveness, he becomes a victim of the counter elimination power system, and as a loyal defender of order, he has to meet the chaos and disorder in the world of genies and gods.
