尧发祥于长子陶乡考

把尧的出生地、事业的发祥地、元子(即长子)的封地和最后的安葬之地这四项相关的历史记载联系起来,做综合地考察,可以确认,同时具备这四个要素的地方,只能是山西省长子县。尧生于长子县、高平县交界处的丹陵(丹朱岭),他继承炎帝神农氏的事业,农业生产和陶器在当时是最先进的,因而吸引了周围众多部族,其起点正在长子的陶乡。尧把自己的大儿子封于长子县,是因为那里既是他的出生地,也是他事业的发祥地。在部落联盟逐渐强大的情形下,尧沿着漳河西进,并在唐地立都建国,然后向南、向北,统一了河南、山西北部的大片领地。在晚年他仍然眷恋着陶这个地方,死后就葬在长子成阳附近的潜山(今尧庙山)。而古籍所载的“尧葬于谷林”之说,正是因为这一带有许多关于神农氏播百谷、尝百谷、教民种植百谷的地名。

A Study of Rao Being Originated from Taoxiang Village of Zhangzi County

While we review elements of the birthplace of Rao,the starting place of his career,the fief of his first son and his final burying ground comprehensively,it can be confirmed that Zhangzi County of Shanxi Province is the only place where the four elements existed simultaneously.Rao was born in the Danling where Zhangzi and Gaoping meet.Rao inherited the career of Yan Di,and his tribe mastered the most advanced agriculture and crockery skill at that time,which also attracted the surrounding tribes.According to the textual research,the starting place of Rao's career was Taoxiang of Zhangzi,where was also his birthplace and his first son hereby was bestowed here.While the tribes union was more and more big and powerful,Rao marched west along Zhanghe and build his country in Tangdi.Rao later unified Henan and northern Shanxi.In his late years,Rao still was sentimentally attached to Tao,and he was buried in Qianshan Mountain.
