| Abstract: | The purpose of Marcus Aurelius' outlook on life is to seek tranquility which is found by people's facing the destiny full of frustration.Only by facing destiny straightly can we get tranquility,for human's reason is ruled by universe reason.We can get tranquility by affronting destiny,because the reason of universe is not evil,human beings have free will and everything is changing eternally.The thoughts require people to live under the pinciple of "reason",and call for people to love others and to keep themselves away from passion.Aurelius' outlook on life can enlighten us much while it is imperfect. |
