古代文气论的现代转换

古代文气理论源远流长,但自清代之后渐趋式微。20世纪30年代夏丏尊、唐弢继承了刘大櫆的“因声求气”说,从音节、字句等语言形式方面认识文气,避免了古代文气理论的神秘性,增强了操作性,是文气理论的重要发展。80年代刘锡庆否定了单纯从字句上理解气势的观点,认为“气”一方面是内在的逻辑力量,一方面是外在的语言表现,完成了古代文气理论的现代转化。文气论对现代文论建设具有重要意义,其现代转换过程和前人的正反经验提示我们,现代文论建设必须强调作者个人修养,注重作品、作者、社会、自然的整体性和和谐性,克服神秘主义倾向,扩展“养气”途径,增强“养气”、“缀文”的可操作性。
