现代指数形式理论评析

现代指数理论的形式化方法 ,对于处理指数问题的主要作用是 :判别一个函数能否成为指数 ;厘清各种指数测验的层次及相互关系 ;构造新的指数公式 ,辨明其分析性质。目前指数公理体系仍不完善 ,未能涵盖某些理论上重要的、实践中有用的指数研究成果 ;同时又允许更多不具有明确经济意义的函数形式成为指数。指数形式理论不能脱离经济分析内容和具体应用条件而成为虚构的学问。

A Review of Modern Index Formal Theory

The method of formalization in modern index theory has three functions in tackling index problems, i.e. judging whether a function can become an index; clarifying various assessment levels of different indexes and their relations; constructing new index formulas and identifying their analytical properties. Current index axioms are imperfect in that they are unable to cover some of the theoretically important and practically useful index research findings while permitting functions with no clear economic significance to be indexes. It is therefore argued that index formal theory must not be divorced from practical economic analyses and concrete conditions under which it is applied.
