| 摘 要： | 隐喻历来被看作是语言中的一种修辞格。而莱考夫和约翰逊认为,隐喻是一种认知现象,是人类组织概念系统不可缺少的认知工具。他们创立了“映射理论”,并提出了“概念隐喻”。另外,韩礼德从语言元功能的视角研究隐喻,并提出了“语法隐喻”。语法隐喻主要存在于体现概念元功能的及物性系统中以及体现人际元功能的语气系统和情态系统中。从多个维度探讨隐喻有助于深化对隐喻功能的认识。

| Abstract: | Metaphor has long been regarded as a figure of speech in language. However, George Lakoff and Mark Johnson contend that metaphor is a cognitive phenomenon and an indispensable cognitive tool with which man organizes his conceptual system. They have built up the theory of metaphorical mapping and advanced conceptual metaphor. Furthermore, Michael A. K. Halliday has studied metaphor from the perspective of metafunctions and advanced grammatical metaphor. He argues that grammatical metaphors exist largely in the transitivity system that realizes ideational metafunction and in the mood system and modality system that realize interpersonal metafunction. This paper presents multidimensional discussion on metaphor and offers a multitude of examples. |
