| Abstract: | This paper explores the similarities and differences between Zuo Zhuan (Zuo's Commentaries on the Spring Annals) and Shi Jing (The Book of Songs) in their usage and features of factitive verbs, arguing that factitive verbs were a common linguistic phenomenon in earlier historical documents. |
