摘    要:作为对五四"工具论"戏剧观的反思,余上沅的国剧理论指出了戏剧应当艺术地表现社会人生;强调戏剧是综合性的系统工程;尤其是倡导中西戏剧融合以实现戏剧的民族化,创建表现民族精神和民族灵魂的中国剧,并在"国剧运动"实践中取得了一定实绩,对于今天中国戏剧的发展仍然具有启迪意义.

Abstract:As a reaction to the Utilitarian Theater Concept of The May 4th Movement, Yu Shang-yuan's "National Theater Theory" pointed out that the theater should reveal social life artistically and emphasized that the theater was an integrated, systemic construction. Yu initiated "National Theater" to represent national heart and soul, which created from the fusion of Occident Drama and Chinese Traditional Opera. The practice of "National Theater Movement" acquired some success during that time and still has some meaning to today's theater development in China.
