美国的中国移民发展特点研究

移民是各国人力资源的重要组成部分。现代移民对宗主国来说已经成为一支不可忽视的建设力量。在美国,中国移民几乎伴随了美国建国后的整个历史时期,为美国的发展建设作出了重大贡献。美国的中国移民发展大致可分为三个阶段:第一阶段,从18世纪80年代到1940年,这一阶段种族歧视占主导地位;第二阶段,从1945年到1960年,涌现出一批重新审视中国移民的美国学者;第三阶段,从20世纪60年代以来,美国政府为扩大高科技人才队伍,修改移民法,使大批华人知识分子涌入美国,为美国的发展建设作出了重大贡献。

On the Characteristics of the Development of the Chinese Immigrants in America

Immigrants are an important part of country's human resources and modern immigrants have become force that cannot be neglected for a suzerain state.Almost throughout the whole historic stage since the founding of America,the Chinese immigrants in America can be roughly divided into the following three phases:Phase One,from the 1880's to 1940,was dominated by racial discrimination;Phase Two(1945-1960) saw a large number of historical revisionists;Phase Three began in the 1960's when American government amended the Immigration Law in order to attract more hi-tech talents,thus making it possible for a large number of intellectuals to rush into America.It is these Chinese immigrants in America that have made a great contribution to the development and construction of America.
