| 摘 要： | 英语教育是当前国际教育的一个极其重要的内容，是关系和制约各国整体教育水平的关键因素。美国政府、专业教学研究机构以及社会各界对英语教育给予高度重视，并取得了成功的经验。虽然英语教育在中国属于外语教育，而不是美国的母语英语教育或非母语英语教育，但结合中国的英语教育实际，研究和比较美国的英语教育，可推进我国的英语教育改革，提高我国英语教育的质量。
