边际性:"五四"时期知识分子的角色体验

在“五四”的文化语境中 ,启蒙者对传统文化的彻底批判和全面否定已经成为主导话语倾向 ,时代的发展趋势决定在现实的话语环境中不再容许人们对传统文化抱有任何幻想。对于提倡新文化的先驱者来说 ,存在的不是对传统文化的选择取舍的矛盾 ,而是批判的彻底性和如何用新文化取代旧文化的问题。然而 ,启蒙者作为在传统文化教育中成长起来的一代知识分子 ,虽然他们是传统文化的坚决批判者 ,但在传统文化与西方文化的批判和选择之间 ,却存在文化角色的边际性矛盾

Edging Contradictions of May 4th Intellectuals

In the culture context of the period of the May 4th Movement,the enlighteners' thorough criticism and complete negation have already become dominant discourse.Limited by the reality environment the intellectuals were no longer allowed to embrace any hope to the traditional culture.What the harbingers of new culture faced was not how to take or reject the traditional culture,but criticize thoroughly and replace it with new culture.However,as a generation that grew up under the traditional education,they experienced a kind of edging contradiction between the tradition and the western culture,although they had been the resolute critics of the tradition.
